1-D-1 (OPEN-SPACE) AGRICULTURAL & TIMBER APPRAISAL

REAPPLICATION FORMS BEING MAILED TO PROPERTY OWNERS:

WHO’S GETTING THESE REAPPLICATION FORMS?

All property owners that have an agricultural valuation on any parcel of land in Navarro County that are part of the 2016 reappraisal plan. Please contact our office to determine if you will be required to complete a new application. The form must be filed before May 1, 2016.

WHY DOES THE FORM NEED TO BE FILLED OUT?

The Appraisal office is updating their records regarding the current and historical agricultural use of your land to determine if your land still falls under the guidelines of agricultural use as set forth by the Texas Property Tax Code.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER TO A QUESTION ON THE FORM?

Call the Appraisal office at 903-872-6161.

WHAT INFORMATION MUST BE PROVIDED?

Your contact telephone number, current and historical agricultural use of the land in question, if the property or properties are currently being leased and if you want contiguous tracts of land merged into one account, if possible.

WHEN DOES THE FORM NEED TO BE SENT BACK?

We need to have the forms returned immediately and no later than April 15, 2016 in order to have ample time to review your application before the Notice of Appraised Value is mailed to you.
